Flex Option vs Unbenchable player

I have been looking for a shoe to wear with my summer dresses, to transition to fall. Then we had a heatwave and I lost interest. Now the weather is more like September weather and I am back to thinking about shoes.
I used to rock the Sven clogs from Clogmaster on La Cienega. My flex option are not Sven, but a close in comfort line, Corso Como:

The unbenchable option is the mocassin. I came across this picture on The Sartorialist. I have the Zara skirt that the girl is wearing. This is what I think I need in my line up.

Tuesday morning. Week one. Pick up available players who did well, that the league missed during the draft. Luckily, this times well with New York Fashion Week, and the shows that we didn't have a chance to look at over the weekend.

First up: ADAM. I enjoyed looking at this collection. I would wear these clothes. But what I really want, ADAM, is these poppy red shoes.

I like this BCBG dress, like the above ADAM dress, the back is slighty longer. maybe I like this because I just read in some magazine that a longer hem in back will flatter my body shape. What that article didn't mention as flattering was diaper pants as seen in Catherine Maladrino. I hate these pants - why do I want them?  I like a cropped pant that doesn't look soccer mom, but I don't want to look like soccer baby sister's saggy Pampers either.



I like the top and the skirt in this white outfit. I am not a runway model, so I wouldn't wear them together. I also like the bag and shoes in the second picture. A Mulberry bag is a strong Fantasy Fashion Draft pick.

God damn I wish I was as fucking cool as these Rebecca Minkoff girls.

BCBG. I thought BCBG was like, a store in the mall and like, a line at Macy's and yet while I totally turn my nose up at them, on the runway we totally connect.



Oh, it is going to be a good season. I cannot wait to get my players on the field.

Week one: A + R, Abbot Kinney

We spent the first Sunday of the football season on Abbot Kinney. The cutest dressed person we saw was wearing a darling soft denim dress from Levi's. She works at A+R. A+R is one of those shops that you could breeze through and not notice anything, but if you spend some time looking around and talking to the people working there you really can find some great pieces! Here is my Fall Fantasy Draft from A+R:

The first thing that I liked was Moshi Moshi MM04 Cellphone+VOIP Handset+Speakerphone. 

This yellow Don't Leave Me! table is cheerful and being metal feels like a French cafe table.   

My daughter noticed this Plopp Metal Stool. Doesn't it look like a piece of rubber, blow up furniture? It's not! It's metal!

This Brasa Fire center piece also acts like a little fireplace, raising the heat in the room 8-10 degrees. It also looks like a Cuisinart caught fire. I lost my Cuisinart base in my garage for 2 years after moving. I wouldn't want to lose this.

Of course, I couldn't forget something to wear! These botanical patterned filament necklaces by Nervous System are beautiful and designed by two smart MIT and Harvard women!

Thanks to twitter, I was able to pay attention to work related news and fashion at the same time! Here is what distracted me the most from work this week: Vena Cava dresses and Rachel Comey shoes.
